(Scroll down for video) Police in Japan raided the headquarters of Amazon, after the company’s website allegedly sold child pornography.
A spokesperson for Amazon Japan, said that the company is cooperating fully with the police investigation into possible sales of child pornography.
Aichi Police raided the headquarters of Amazon in Tokyo, looking for evidence that the Amazon Japan website may have been used by sellers to trade pictures of underage girls.
Police said that Amazon is suspected of helping sales of child pornography, such as photo books of nude girls under the age of 18, by leaving them on its website despite knowing that it has been there.
Police who searched the website of Amazon Japan, found books containing naked images of underage girls for sale and arrested two men connection with the case.
Amazon usage rules however, prohibit the sale of any illegal items through the website of the company.
Photo albums and DVDs of scantily clad girls were available for sale on three websites, including Amazon Japan, Rakuten Inc. and Yahoo Japan Corp.
