(Scroll down for video) A man was arrested for pointing a gun at his girlfriend after she refused to have sex with him.
Steven Davis of West Virginia, was charged with assault, battery, and brandishing, stemming from the fight over sex.
Wheeling Police Department Deputy Chief Martin Kimball said that a witness in the house also alleged that Davis punched his girlfriend in the head several times, before pointed the gun at her.
The incident took place around 2:15 a.m. The couple’s young child was home at the time of the incident.
Officials also said that the victim did not want to cooperate, but Davis’ sister called police.
Authorities said that women who are victims of domestic violence, are usually very reluctant to proceed with prosecution.
The weapon involved in this crime has been seized by police. Davis was booked into the Northern Regional Jail, and his bail was set at $4,000.
