Realtor caught renting hotel rooms to prostitutes

The president of a real estate company was arrested after brokering a deal to rent hotel rooms to a company that promoted prostitution, police in Japan said.

Chiba Police said that they arrested the 82-year-old president of Oono Shoji, after being accused of renting hotel rooms in Narita, to Honey Drippers, which is a company that illegally promotes prostitution.

According to the police investigation, 56-year-old Yukihiro Takahashi, who is the manager of Honey Drippers, rented several rooms in the Festa Hotel, for 226,000 yen ($1,923) per month.

At first, Honey Drippers rented only one room, but several months ago, the company leased a total of eight rooms. Honey Drippers paid a total of 12,000,000 yen ($102,152) to Oono Shoji.

Honey Drippers charges 15,000 yen ($127) for the first 60 minutes. Takahashi has been arrested on charges of promoting prostitution.
