(Scroll down for video) An animal lover turned his home into a paradise for cats.
Peter Cohen has spent tens of thousands of dollars, transforming his home into a playground for cats.
Since the 1990s, Cohen, who lives in Goleta, California, spent his time building a network of colorful and intricate walkways, which he calls catwalks, perches, tunnels, and ramps all over his home all for the enjoyment of many cats that live with him.
Cohen and his roommates have 15 cats, all of which were rescued from the street.
“We try to bring the kittens that other people do not want, especially kittens that have been traumatized,” Cohen said.
Cohen has spent thousands of dollars for the construction of the kitty paradise. Cohen said that the walkways alone cost about $40,000 to build.
Cohen said that he could have done it for much cheaper, but he wanted it to be done as art and visually appealing to the cats as well as for himself and his roommates.
Cohen said that although he cannot change the world, it brings him great satisfaction knowing that he is providing a safe and happy home for the animals.
