Three college students are dead after being hit by a fast moving train while attempting to take a selfie, police in India said.
Mathura Police said that the three college friends of New Delhi, Moradabad, and Faridabad, lost their lives on Monday, while trying to snap the perfect selfie.
The accident occurred around 9:30 a.m.
A fourth friend, Aneesh, who survived the accident, told police that they were traveling by car to Agra, in order to see the Taj Mahal, when the stopped on the train tracks to take a daredevil selfie.
The victims were identified as Yakub, Afzal, and Iqbal, all aged between 20 and 22.
According to the police investigation, the four friends were trying to take a photo of themselves on the tracks as close to a train in motion as possible.
They also wanted to upload their selfies on social networking sites. However, a fast moving train slammed into the three victims and they died instantly.
