A woman was arrested, charged and convicted of assault after spinning kids on a merry-go-round at a park, prosecutors in Australia said.
Now, 34-year-old Kylie Radatti was sentenced to serve six months in jail for spinning a 4-year-old boy on the merry-go-round.
According to the police investigation, Radatti was spinning the merry-go-round very fast despite the fact that the child was screaming.
Radatti, who was drunk at the time of the incident, had to be restrained by two people before police arrived and arrested her. Radatti said however, that she was just innocently playing with the kids.
Judge Dermot Kehoe said that the problem was that the boy could have been hurt. It is not fun for children when strangers swing them around to the point where they can suffer injuries, the judge said.
If you do not know the children you should not be playing with them, the judge added.
