(Scroll down for video) A woman was arrested after her dog was found dead inside a toilet at an airport.
When workers at the Nebraska airport refused to allow the woman to board a plane with her 3-week-old puppy, the woman allegedly went into the nearby bathroom and drowned the animal in the toilet bowl, police said.
Cynthia Anderson, 56, from Florida, was arrested at the Central Nebraska Regional Airport in Grand Island.
She was charged with a felony count of animal cruelty.
According to police, Anderson first tried to board the plane on Thursday, with three newborn dogs, but was rejected by the airport staff.
After her parents took two of the puppies, Anderson returned to the airport on Friday, with the remaining dog. The puppy was hidden in her hand luggage.
After she was again banned from the plane, Anderson allegedly killed the puppy in the toilet. A woman found the dead dog and police were called.
The puppy was taken to the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) for an autopsy, and water was found in its lungs.
