(Scroll down for video) A boy in Minnesota, was killed by his brother while playing “cops and robbers.”

Eagan Police responded to 1794 Silver Bell Circle, after a 15-year-old boy called to report that his 13-year-old brother was unresponsive and bleeding.

The caller initially reported that his brother had been running with a knife inside the residence and had fallen onto the knife.

Police officers, firefighters, and HealthEast Paramedics arrived and attempted to save the boy’s life, but unfortunately, the victim, who was identified as Suhayb Hassan, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Once police arrived at the scene, the 15-year-old boy admitted that he accidentally shot his brother.

Upon further questioning, investigators learned that the boys recently discovered that their father owned a handgun and stored it within the residence.

While home alone with their 11-year-old sister, the boys found the hidden 9mm pistol, which was unloaded.

The boys also found a magazine containing cartridges for the firearm. At some point, the firearm was loaded then thought to be unloaded by one of the boys. The boys then began to chase each other while playing “cops and robbers.”

The 15-year-old boy pulled the trigger and unintentionally fired the weapon towards his brother. Only one round was fired, which struck Suhayb in the chest. Their 11-year-old sister was uninjured and did not witness the incident.

No one was arrested, as this appears to be a horrible accident. May he rest in peace.
