(Scroll down for video) A woman got married in an elaborate wedding ceremony.
The only thing that was missing was the groom.
Yasmin Eleby of Houston, Texas, married herself after not finding the man of her dreams before turning 40 years old.
Eleby wore a stunning purple dress as she was surrounded by her friends and family.
The ceremony, which was a spiritual one but not legal, was conducted by three ministers, one of whom is the sister of Eleby.
The bridal party included ten bridesmaids and the mother of the bride who walked her down the aisle. The wedding took place at the Houston Museum of African American Culture (HMAAC).
Some people commended Eleby for loving herself enough to marry herself. Eleby is planning a solo honeymoon to Cambodia, Laos, and the UAE.
“I was impressed with the outpouring of love and support that was shown to me during my celebration of love and life,” Eleby said.
