(Scroll down for video) A father was arrested on charges of child endangerment after his 4-year-old son crashed his vehicle into a wall, police in New Jersey said.
Ocean Township Police said that they have arrested 41-year-old Tavaris Reevey, after he left his two young children alone in his car.
Around 10:30 a.m. on Monday, officers responded to a single car collision on Rustic Drive, where a car had crashed into a building.
According to the police investigation, Reevey left his 4-year-old son and 2-year-old daughter unattended in his car.
The boy climbed into the driver’s seat and put the car in reverse, causing the vehicle to back across the parking lot before hitting a brick wall.
Reevey was arrested at the scene and charged with one count of child endangerment. The two children, who were not injured as a result of the crash, were handed over to the care of their mother.
