A young man was arrested on charges of disorderly conduct after being seen trying to have sex with an ambulance, prosecutors in the United Kingdom said.
25-year-old Calum Ward of Westaway Heights, Barnstaple, set fire to a pack of peanuts in a phone booth before trying to make love to the ambulance, the North Devon Magistrate’s Court has heard.
The incident unfolded at the Barnstaple Bus Station, police said. The court heard that when Ward was approached by officers, he was high and said that he was going home to sober up.
However, instead of going home, Ward threatened members of the public and spread his legs in front of the ambulance. After being searched by police, Ward was found in possession of drugs.
It was not the first time that Ward has been arrested for acting disorderly in public. In November, Ward was arrested by police for being drunk and disorderly.
At first, police offered him the chance to go home, but when he began shouting insults at the officers, he was arrested. Ward was convicted and sentenced to a community order with a supervision requirement for six months.
He was also ordered to pay a 60-pound ($92) victim surcharge.
