(Scroll down for video) A housekeeper was kidnapped, burned and beaten by her employer after being accused of stealing from them.

54-year-old Daisy Machuea was working for a couple in Queens, New York, when she was accused of stealing money and jewelry from her employer, police said on Thursday.

Devanand Lachman, 32, and his wife, Ambar Lachman, 31, who is pregnant, demanded she return the stolen money and jewelry.

When Machuea said that she did not take anything, the man and his friend began torturing the woman while Ambar Lachman watched the acts.

The men burned Machuca’s leg with a blowtorch and punched her on the wounds. They beat the woman, and ordered her to confess and return the stolen money.

The men then placed a knife to her throat and punched her in the head, chest and legs all the while demanding their money.

Machuca told the men that she did not take their money but she has money in the apartment. The couple along with their friend drove the victim to her apartment while holding their knives at her side and ordered her to hand over her money.

Machuca’s roommate, Oscar Ramirez, 60, was in the house at the time. The men warned him that if he moved they will kill Machuca.

The three people then trashed her apartment, but they did not find any money.

When they finally left, Machuca called police. She was taken to a hospital and the couple was arrested.

Devanand Lachman is being held without bail. His wife’s bail was set at $50,000.

Police are still looking for the third suspect, who is said to be a 6-foot-tall man and around 32 years old.
