A mother is in trouble for pulling a gun on a girl who was fighting with her daughter.
33-year-old Viridiana Alvarez of Pasadena, Texas, is behind bars after video showed her pointing a gun at a high school student.
Alvarez was charged with aggravated assault after she was seen pulling a gun on the 14-year-old girl who was fighting with her teenage daughter.
Witness said that when the students were dismissed, two students went across the street from the Pasadena High School to fight each other.
They were in a park with Alvarez, the mother of one of the students. She pulled out a gun and pointed it at the student who was fighting her daughter, police said.
Meanwhile, witnesses notified school administrators. The Pasadena Independent School District (ISD) police broke up the fight and Alvarez was arrested.
Both girls were suspended for fighting. They were also ticketed and will be required to take part in a five-day guidance program.
In court, Alvarez reportedly told a judge that she only planned to “scare her,” and would never hurt the girl. Her family said that the gun was not loaded.
Alvarez was booked in the Harris County Jail, and bail was set at $35,000.
