Now, 53-year-old Melanie Nash has pleaded guilty to numerous charges after digging up the grave of her father to find a real will because she was unhappy with the share of her inheritance.

While digging up the grave, she found vodka and cigarettes beside her father. Nash was one of the four defendants in the plan to open the casket of Eddie Nash in Colebrook.

Nash pleaded guilty on Monday, to charges of criminal conduct, interference with a cemetery, conspiracy and abuse of a corpse.

Two other defendants pleaded guilty and a third person was found not guilty of the charges.

Eddie Nash, who died of a heart attack at the age of 68, started an equipment business that is still run by his family members.

He has since been reburied by his family members.
