A 10-year-old boy ran over his younger brother after breaking into a dealership and stealing a car for a joyride.
Authorities in Michigan, said that the 9-year-old boy was hospitalized after his 10-year-old brother allegedly ran him over with the stolen car.
The boys were at their grandmother’s home, which is close to the car dealership. Police were called around 2:30 a.m., when a woman called the Roscommon County Sheriff’s Department to report that children broke into the car dealership and had driven cars into the lot.
Deputies responded to the scene and found the brothers who reportedly admitted to joyriding.
After observing several damaged vehicles, deputies contacted the owner of the company and the children were returned to their parents.
Several hours later, deputies were called back to the dealership after the 9-year-old boy got pinned under a car.
He was airlifted to a hospital in Flint. His current status is unknown.
Investigators said that after deputies returned the children to their parents, they apparently returned to the dealership and stole cars in the lot for a second time.
Witnesses told police that they saw the boys drive around the area and crashing into vehicles.
The younger boy reportedly got stuck in a snowbank when he was hit and pinned under the vehicle driven by his older brother.
