(Scroll down for video) A woman of Canada, died after a whale slapped her while she was riding in a boat off the shore of Mexico, police said.
Baja California Sur Police said the incident with the whale occurred less than two miles from the resort in Cabo San Lucas.
The whale slapped 35-year-old Jennifer Karren of Calgary, and as a result, she fell into the water. Firefighters said that the woman was in the boat with other tourists when she returned to shore around 12:00 p.m.
Officers of the Navy responded to the scene and treated the woman. She was taken to a nearby hospital, where she died during treatment.
Five other passenger were also injured as a result of the whale attack, and two are still in serious condition. There were a total of 24 people on the boat.
