A drunk man in the United Kingdom, set fire to a refrigerator, which was on the roof of his home, before attempting to put it out with his urine.
23-year-old Andre Figueiredo, who is an aspiring lawyer, deliberately started the fire on the roof of his rented apartment in South Wales, and then tried unsuccessfully to extinguish it with bottles of his own urine.
Figueiredo was arrested and was given a 12 week suspended prison sentence, 150 hours of unpaid work, and he was ordered to pay 1,500 pounds (about $2,200) to repair the damage he caused.
Patrol officers in the Mount Pleasant area of Swansea, saw the “eight feet high” flames coming from the roof of the property in the early morning hours.
Figueiredo, who admitted to arson, ignored the calls from officers to let them inside the home to extinguish the fire.
By the time officers gained access to the house through a back entrance, Figueiredo was in bed in his apartment, pretending to be asleep, even though he was fully dressed.
Figueiredo told police that he had been drinking heavily because he was unhappy that his friend was moving away from the area.
The officers put out the flames on the roof and arrested him. Figueiredo said that he tried to extinguish the flames using “bottles of urine,” but he was unsuccessful.
