A woman was arrested on charges of causing injury to a child after allegedly biting the foot of a young boy because he refused to get up from a chair while watching television, police in Texas said.
The Angelina County Sheriff’s Office said that they arrested 22-year-old Sarah Anne Bray of Lufkin, after being accused of biting the 9-year-old boy.
Bray was charged with injury to a child. According to the police investigation, the incident unfolded on the 400 block of Fair Oaks Circle around 8:30 p.m.
Officers who arrived at the scene, were greeted by the boy and his mother. The mother said that she had gone to the store, and when she returned, her brother told her that Bray had assaulted the boy.
The mother showed the officers injuries under the right arm of the child and on his right foot.
The boy’s grandmother told officers that Bray was upset at the boy because he was sitting in her chair watching wrestling and did not get up.
When Bray tried to remove him, he started kicking her and that’s when she bit his right foot. Bray told investigators that the boy shouldn’t have kicked her.
