A man was arrested after flagging down a police officer while driving a stolen Mercedes.
LaShawn Williams, 24, of Florida, accidentally shot himself during an armed robbery.
In a desperate attempt to get help for his gunshot wound, Williams flagged down a police officer in a stolen Mercedes.
Williams allegedly stole a cellphone from a victim early on Sunday, and accidentally shot himself while fleeing with the device.
In panic, he ran across the street to Cleo’s Gentlemen’s Club and jumped into a Mercedes that had an open door, police said.
When the pain of the bullet wound was too much to bear, he decided to flag down a police officer, authorities said.
Williams was transported to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries, police said.
He was charged with armed robbery and theft of a vehicle.
