A man filed a lawsuit against his wife after he discovered that she was laying about getting pregnant and having miscarriages, according to court documents filed in the United Arab Emirates.

Now, a court in Dubai, rejected the man’s demand for Dh2 million ($544,000) in compensation.

According to the lawsuit, the man was married to his wife for 11 years without knowing that she was infertile. A few years after the marriage, the man decided to marry another woman, and his wife left the home.

Before getting married to his second wife, his wife sent him medical reports, showing that she was pregnant. The man then canceled plans to marry a second wife.

The wife moved back into her husband’s home. Soon after, his wife told him that she had suffered a miscarriage.

They continued to live together for another few years. The woman continued to claim that she became pregnant and had miscarriages several more times.

The husband decided to contact her gynecologist, who gave him his wife’s medical records. He discovered that she was infertile and knew about it even before they got married.

The husband claimed that he suffered psychological and financial harm because of his wife’s false claims of pregnancy. He also demanded the return of money spent for treatment.

The court rejected the man’s demand, saying that he did not provide evidence of psychological and financial harm.
