(Scroll down for video) A man with Down syndrome touched the hearts of many people with his sweet gesture towards his girlfriend.
38-year-old Salvatore of Italy, wanted to ask his girlfriend, who also has Down syndrome, to move in with him.
Rather than asking her in private, Salvatore made it a grand affair.
He hired an acappella group to help him impress his girlfriend Caterina. The group sang Norah Jones’ romantic hit “Come Away With Me.”
Salvatore, who was dressed in a suit, surprised Caterina at McDonald’s, where she works. The acappella group walked in first to get Caterina’s attention while she was cleaning at McDonald’s.
Once they had her full attention, Salvatore walked in with a small box in his hand. He got down on one knee with the box, which contained a key to his new home as customers watched.
“Will you come and live with me, my love?” He asked. Caterina kissed her boyfriend and said “yes.”
At the end of the proposal, Salvatore was seen wiping happy tears from Caterina’s cheeks, as witnesses wished them well.
