A woman was arrested on charges of assault after allegedly squirting her breast milk on a police officer, police in Australia said.
26-year-old Erica Leeder of Calista, appeared before the Fremantle Magistrate’s Court, where she was denied bail on a charge of assaulting a public officer.
According to the police investigation, Leeder was being searched at the police station after her arrest and was naked from the waist up when the alleged incident against the police officer took place.
The female officer reported that Leeder grabbed her chest and sprayed milk on her forehead, arms and clothes. The officer was tested as there is a possibility of disease transfer through breast milk.
Leeder has a previous conviction for assaulting a police officer. The woman was denied bail due to her history of violence. She was ordered to have a mental health evaluation.
If convicted, the woman faces a fine of $18,000 and jail of up to 18 months.
