20 teens stab 17-year-old girl during argument over Twitter posts

(Scroll down for video) Police are looking to arrest a group of teens who were involved in a fight with a 17-year-old girl, police in Illinois said.

Burbank Police said that an argument that began on Twitter last week, took a violent turn.

The girl who was stabbed several times on Friday afternoon in the back and chest, remained hospitalized on Tuesday. It is unknown when the girl will be released from the hospital.

She did not suffer life threatening injuries. No charges had been filed as of Tuesday afternoon, and the investigation is ongoing.

According to the police investigation, around 3:00 p.m. on Friday, officers were sent to a home in the 8000 block of Nashville Avenue, after a disturbance involving 25 youths were reported.

While officers were on their way, they received more calls, saying that a large fight was in progress.

The 17-year-old victim had gone over to the house of her enemy, another 17-year-old girl, to confront her about Twitter posts.

The two girls know each other, and they were childhood friends. The attack took place on the back porch of a house. There were no reports of other injuries.
