A woman was arrested on charges of assault after allegedly stabbing her boyfriend because he ate all her chips, police in Ohio said.

Cleveland Police said that they arrested 50-year-old Phyllis D. Jefferson on Interstate 77, after she fled from the scene to buy more salsa.

According to the police investigation, Jefferson complained around 5:30 p.m., that her 61-year-old boyfriend was eating all her salsa.

She screamed and stabbed her boyfriend with a pen. She then turned over the TV. The man got up and caught the TV before it hit the ground.

While the man was reaching for the TV, Jefferson grabbed a small kitchen knife and stabbed the man in the left side of his stomach.

Police found Ronnie Buckner holding his stomach outside their apartment in the 100 block of Lake Street. He was taken to the Akron General Medical Center for treatment.

Jefferson admitted to detectives that she stabbed the man.
