(Scroll down for video) A man was arrested on charges of causing intentional damage to property after breaking several tombstones because he wanted his friend to be resurrected, police in Utah said.
Payson Police said that they arrested 36-year-old Spencer Robinson on Monday, for defacing and damaging gravestones including some that are over 100 years old.
A family member told police that Robinson was waiting for his friend to be resurrected. Robinson was charged with intentionally damaging property.
He also faces charges of resisting arrest and trespassing. A total of 30 gravestones were damaged or broken. Some gravestones cannot be repaired as they are more than 100 years old.
Robinson caused about $50,000 in damages.
