A sex offender of Maine, was hospitalized after being hit with a car while he was trying to molest a child.
Linda Currier was arrested by the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office after she ran over her boyfriend, James Oliver, who is a registered sex offender.
Police said that Currier and Oliver had been drinking on Saturday night, when Currier, 53, discovered her boyfriend Oliver, 48, trying to have sex with a 12-year-old girl.
Oliver was ordered to register as a sex offender for life after he was previously convicted of sexual abuse and rape of a minor.
A fight broke out after Currier caught Oliver trying to molest the girl. Officers were called to the house after someone reported a domestic disturbance.
They arrived to find Oliver laying on the road. Currier supposedly had gotten into her car and ran him over.
Currier was arrested and charged with drunken driving and aggravated assault.
Oliver was treated at a hospital for a serious leg injury before being taken to jail on charges of gross sexual assault, unlawful sexual touching and failing to comply with the sex offender registration act.
