(Scroll down for video) A music teacher was arrested after allegedly hiring a hitman to kill her teen student because he rejected her sexual advances, police in Russia said.
Moscow Police said that the 52-year-old woman was arrested on Tuesday, after she delivered a payment of 100,000 rubles ($1,800) to a man she hoped will kill the student.
Instead of carrying out the murder, the man went to the police. If convicted, the teacher faces up to 15 years in prison. According to the police investigation, the teacher spent two years chasing the boy, who is now 15 years old.
The teenager of Shatura, rejected her advances and eventually started dating a classmate. Overcome by jealousy, the teacher asked a hitman to kill the child.
The hitman accepted a payment of 100,000 rubles ($1,800), but instead of carrying out the murder, he went straight to the police.
The age of consent is 16 years old.
