A man was arrested, charged and convicted of assault after beating his girlfriend because she complained about his bedwetting, prosecutors in the United Kingdom said.
Now, 26-year-old Phillip Wayne Davies of Deeside, has been jailed after being accused of two assaults.
Davies punched Geoffrey Jones, a security guard at B and M Bargains in Queensferry. He also threw around merchandise in the store.
Davies pleaded guilty to assaulting his girlfriend, 25-year-old Keelie Challoner, after he wet his bed. A court heard how Challoner could not breathe when he began to choke her, and she feared that she will die.
He also attacked her with a chair. The Flintshire Magistrate’s Court sentenced Davies to 26 weeks in jail. He was also banned from entering the B and M Bargains store for 5 years.
