(Scroll down for video) A former police officer was arrested after he was seen breaking into a home.
The former police officer of Bristol, Rhode Island, is accused of breaking into his neighbor’s house and stealing prescription drugs.
Authorities identified the thief as Officer Spencer Parks, after reviewing surveillance video of the incident.
According to police, investigators recognized Parks after the couple, who wanted to file a police report, brought the surveillance video of a suspect breaking into their house on Market Street.
Parks, 27, surrendered to police a day after the alleged offense.
Parks is accused of stealing 16 grams of a drug that helps people suffering from opioid dependence. He was charged with felony breaking and entering and theft under $1,500.
Bristol Police Chief Josue Canario said that Parks was not an active member of the department since August, but could not say why, and confirmed that Parks officially resigned after his latest arrest.
