A college student was slapped with a fine of $500 for offensive behavior after he was seen running on the street naked for a free kebab, police in Australia said.
18-year-old Jack Mascitelli undressed and ran through the streets of Byron Bay around 8:30 a.m.
His running ended abruptly when he bumped into a group of police officers, who fined him $500 for offensive behavior. Mascitelli of Victoria, appeared at the Downing Centre Local Court in Sydney on Monday, to fight the fine.
The court heard that Mascitelli, who is studying law and commerce in college, was very sorry for removing his clothes for a free kebab.
The judge said that he hoped the incident would not prevent Mascitelli from achieving his ambitions. He dismissed the case without recording a conviction.
According to the police investigation, Mascitelli was seen naked on Shirley Street, yelling and screaming while running through groups of members of the public.
The officers then found him hiding in a kebab shop on Jonson Street.
