(Scroll down for video) Three people are dead in what neighbors call a terrible tragedy.
A man was driving to Home Depot on Sunday, with a friend when a 2-year-old boy ran into the street and into the path of his car.
40-year-old Archie Brown Jr. of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, accidentally hit 2-year-old Damani T. Terry, with his car about 5:10 p.m.
Brown immediately got out of his car and tried to help the child, according to police. The 2-year-old’s brother, Rasheed T. Chiles, also came to help him.
The child was rushed to a hospital, but later died.
After the accident, someone came to the scene with a gun and shot Brown as revenge for hitting the boy.
Brown died from the gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The 2-year-old boy’s 15-year-old brother, who was identified as Rasheed T. Chiles, was also shot. He died later at a hospital, police said.
Brown left behind 4 daughters. The youngest is just 6 months old.
Police are working to identify the shooting suspect, and the investigation is ongoing, but so far, no arrests have been made.
