A man was arrested, charged and convicted of human trafficking after he was caught keeping male immigrants as gay sex slaves in his home, prosecutors in Florida said.
Now, the man of Hungary, who enslaved men for sex at his home in Miami, will be sentenced to a maximum of 155 years in prison.
25-year-old Andras Janos Vass was charged with trafficking and organized crime. Vass ran a company called Never Sleep Inc. Young men were forced into sexual slavery for up to 20 hours a day.
Several of the young men had been lured from Hungary. Vass made $40,000 per month from each escort.
Vass met three of his victims online, and told them that they could earn between $300 and $5,000 per month working as male escorts.
However, as soon as the men came to the country, they were kept in a one bedroom apartment with up to eight other prostitutes, and forced to work all day without pay.
Their travel documents were confiscated by Vass to prevent them from escaping. He also threatened them with death when they asked to leave.
The crimes came to light after neighbors reported unusual activity in the home. It took just 30 minutes for the jury to convict Vass.
