The auxiliary police officer in the province of Guizhou, China, managed to fight with a machete-wielding man for 5 five minutes, until help arrived.
The officer, 22-year-old Cao Yu, was unarmed when she approached the man at the Tashan Square in Anshun.

When Cao attempted to question the suspect, he placed the machete to her neck, stabbing her left shoulder in the process.
Yu managed to grab the suspect and fought with him while sustaining 5 wounds in the process.
The officer suffered a number of stab wounds to her hands.
