(Scroll down for video) A woman lost custody of her son after he spoke up in favor of drugs in school.
A mother from Kansas, was shocked to find police and social workers at her home.
37-year-old Shona Banda was informed that she cannot enter her home until police complete their search in her house.
Banda of Garden City, who uses marijuana to treat a debilitating disease, is now fighting for custody of her 11-year-old son who was taken from her after he disagreed with the anti-drug presentation at his school.
Banda, who published a book about how she uses a liquid form of cannabis to treat her Crohn’s disease, lost custody of the child after police found a plant and liquid marijuana in her home.
The investigation began after school officials reported the comments the boy made about marijuana to child protective services.
So far, no drug charges have been filed against the mother, but her son was placed in the custody of his father.
