(Scroll down for video) A hungry thief was arrested on charges of theft after being caught stuffing salamis down his pants during a raid on a supermarket, police in Pennsylvania said.
Reading Police said that Andrew Ramos, was caught trying to leave the Price Rite supermarket located on North Sixth Street, without paying for the four salamis he had stuffed in his pants.
A police officer was called to the store around 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, to investigate the reported theft.
A security worker at the store told the officer that he saw Ramos taking two wrapped salamis and placing them in the front of his pants.
Employees stopped Ramos as he left the store, and they found four salamis valued at $60 in his pants. Ramos was charged with one count of petty theft and was booked into the Berks County Jail.
His bail was set at $2,500.
