A drunk woman became extremely angry with a police officer after he decided to arrest her for driving under the influence, police in Texas said.

Now, the Rusk County woman who spat at the officer after being arrested for driving while intoxicated, has been sentenced to serve two years prison, the District Attorney’s Office said.

Temika Owens was convicted of harassment of a public servant. Owens’ drunk driving case is still pending. Owens was arrested at 3:00 a.m., when an officer noticed that she was driving without her lights on.

As the officer approached, it became clear that Owens was drunk. The officer smelled alcohol, and Owens had difficulty speaking.

She was argumentative and refused to perform a field sobriety test. After she was arrested for drunk driving and put in police vehicle, she jumped around in the back seat.

Owens then spat on an officer and shouted insults.
