(Scroll down for video) A college student was arrested on charges of malicious tampering with food after allegedly being caught on video spilling glass cleaner into her roommates’ food, police in South Carolina said.
Columbia Police said that they have arrested 22-year-old Hayley King, after being accused of spitting and pouring Windex into several food containers in the apartment she shared with her two female colleagues.
King’s two roommates told police that they installed secret cameras in their shared apartment because they were afraid of what King might do to them after a series of altercations.
The two women had tried to get King to move due to previous altercations, but she refused.
One of the women told police that she ate food from one of the containers believed to have been contaminated with saliva and Windex.
King was arrested and she allegedly confessed to the incident. King has been charged with malicious tampering with food. She faces up to 20 years in prison if convicted.
Her bail was set at $5,000.
