(Scroll down for video) A teacher was arrested on charges of cruelty to children after stuffing a young boy into a trash can because he had trashy behavior, police in Georgia said.
Cobb County Police said that they arrested the special education teacher after being accused of holding an autistic child upside down by his legs and pushing him headfirst into the garbage can.
Before assaulting the 8-year-old boy, Mary Katherine Pursley told him that trashy behavior as the Oscar the Grouch character of Sesame Street, will put him in the trash can.
Another employee saw Pursley placing the child in the trash at the Mount Bethel Elementary School, and reported it to officials.
Pursley was placed on administrative leave with pay. Pursley was charged with one count of first-degree cruelty to children. Her bail was set at $5,000.
