A woman is devastated over the loss of her beloved husband.
Anne Berthelot watched in horror as her husband was eaten alive by a bull shark while diving on an island in the Pacific Ocean.
Anne and her 50-year-old husband, Yves Berthelot, were with a group of tourists a few feet from their boat when he was attacked and eaten by the shark.
The French national was snorkeling a few feet from the shore off the coast of New Caledonia, when he was attacked.
Yves Berthelot died after being bitten in the arm, groin and leg. Despite the best efforts of the group who were mostly health professionals, nothing could be done to save Yves Berthelot.
Most of the people on board were health workers, and they gave first aid to the wounded man, but the injuries were so severe that unfortunately, there was not much that could be done to save his life.
Anne Berthelot posted a tribute on Facebook saying: “I’ve lost the man of my life tonight.”
