A man attempted to rob a store by using pepper spray on employees.
However, the would-be thief accidentally pepper sprayed himself while trying to hold up a pharmacy.
43-year-old Kevin Michael Meadows, 43, entered the Bypass Pharmacy in Beaver, West Virginia, wearing a paintball mask and wide-brimmed hat.
According to police he used the pepper spray in an attempt to subdue the employees working in the business at the time.
After spaying at the employee, Meadows walked to the counter and into the cloud of pepper spray, and breathed it in.
Police said that surveillance video footage showed Meadows being overcome by the spray, having a hard time breathing.
Meadows was seen stumbling out of the store and he got into a waiting car. The driver of the car was later located by police, and he told them all about the botched robbery.
Meadows was arrested and has been charged with attempted robbery. He is being held in the Southern Regional Jail. His bail was set at $100,000.
