A man was arrested for vandalizing a police station.
The 36-year-old man of Australia, has been charged with burglary and committing malicious mischief after breaking into the police station in Murwillumbah, New South Wales, on Tuesday.
Police said that around 5:30 p.m., the man came into the police station, which was unattended at the time.
The man is accused of using force to enter the police station and he caused damage to the front door, which allowed him to gain entry to the station.
He then allegedly tipped over a number of file boxes on the floor before leaving a short time later.
The man did not take any property.
The man was arrested on Wednesday morning, in a house on Joshua Street. He was taken to the Murwillumbah Police Station, where he was charged with breaking and entering and committing malicious damage.
He was released from jail after posting bail.
