refusing to help with household chores.

Starlene Roth of Marysville, Washington, was frustrated with her husband Greg, when he was “not able to do housework,” according to court documents.

Greg had been hospitalized after he had hepatitis and he was unable to help her.

Greg said that his wife of more 31 years, became upset and threw a glass vase, spilling water on the floor.

Starlene then allegedly knocked over a barbecue, which Greg picked up.

She later broke the remote control to the television.
Starlene then went to their room and got a 9mm semiautomatic handgun, pointing it at her husband’s chest and fired. Luckily, she missed, but allegedly hit his leg.

Greg fled from the home and police were called.

Starlene was arrested and bail was set at $250,000 after she was charged with attempted murder in the second degree.

Starlene told investigators that she regrets her actions, but she never meant to hurt her husband. The couple were described as loving and caring people by their neighbors.
