(Scroll down for video) A young boy suffered a horrific death at the hands of his friends.
6-year-old Christopher Raymundo Marquez was invited by neighborhood kids to play with them and collect firewood from a vacant lot near his home in Chihuahua, Mexico.
Once at the vacant lot, his friends, who are said to be between 12 and 15 years old, said that they want to play a game of “kidnap.”
Marquez went along with the game. His hands and feet were tied before the teens began throwing stones at him and hitting him with a stick.
The boy reportedly suffocated with the stick pressed against his neck, which caused his death.
The other kids, including a boy aged 12, two girls aged 13, and two boys aged 15, panicked and buried the body in a shallow grave.
They covered it with weeds and with a dead animal, police said.
One of the mothers called police and said that her son was involved in the disappearance of Marquez. The body was found 2 days after Marquez was reported missing by his family.
Police said that three of the suspects are too young to be charged and tried under the law. However, the 2 15-year-old boys were arrested.
All five children were ordered to undergo psychological and sociological testing.
