The government of Saudi Arabia, posted on an official website, seeking to hire professional executioners to carry out death sentences imposed by the courts.
The government is seeking eight new executioners in order to carry out an increasing number of death sentences, usually carried out by public beheading.
No special requirements are needed for the job. The primary function is killing, but the job will also involve performing amputations of those convicted of minor offenses.
Most people in the country are executed following a conviction for murder, but some are killed for drug crimes.
The salary for the job, which was classified as a religious function, will be at the lower end of the pay scale of public service, according to the advertisement.
