A boy turned himself in to police after allegedly killing his mother and grandmother because they told him to do his homework, police in Japan said.
Yokohama Police said that they have arrested the 15-year-old boy after being accused of murdering his mother and grandmother in their home on Monday.
The boy approached a police station around 1:00 p.m. on Monday, pulled a bloody knife from his bag, and admitted to stabbing his mother and grandmother.
Police went to the boy’s house, where they found the child’s 50-year-old mother and the 81-year-old grandmother dead.
They both suffered from multiple stab wounds.
During questioning, the boy told police that he was angry because the two women had often scolded him for not doing homework.
The boy had been living with his mother, grandmother and 12-year-old sister. The boy’s father lives elsewhere.
