(Scroll down for video) A police officer was shocked to see a young girl pointing a loaded gun at him, police in California said.
San Bernardino Police said that they have arrested the mother of the 3-year-old girl who allegedly pointed the loaded gun, which had been stolen from an officer.
The child was removed from the home and 20-year-old Kimberly Torres, was arrested on charges of child endangerment and possession of stolen property.
Torres got possession of the stolen gun after a police officer’s car was burglarized. The officer had left two guns in his car. Later that day, police found one of the stolen guns while searching a vehicle at a traffic stop.
The driver, 25-year-old Ramon Quintero, was arrested. Quintero’s car was registered to Torres.
Police went to her home, and as they spoke with Torres, her 3-year-old daughter came out of a bedroom holding a gun and pointed it at police.
The loaded firearm was immediately taken away from the child. Its serial number showed it was the second stolen gun from the burglarized police car.
