(Scroll down for video) A high school girl in Idaho, said that she was devastated to be kicked out of class on the last day because her dress was a drop too short.
Evette Reay said that she wanted to finish high school on a good note.
Instead, she was suspended 30 minutes before the final bell rang. The incident unfolded at the West Side High School. Her teacher, Legrand Leavitt, told her to go home and remove her short dress in exchange for a longer one.
Reay however, refused to do so, and the teacher warned that he will not give her the diploma. By the time her mother, Michelle Reay, brought to school a new set of clothes, she was suspended for insubordination.
The principal told the mother that her daughter was suspended because she got in his face. Michelle Reay revealed that although she agrees with the short dress policy, she did not like how the situation was handled.
Evette Reay feels that the school treated her unfairly as the dress was only an inch too short.
