A naked man was arrested on charges of assault after allegedly punching a police officer because he refused to shake his hand, police in Tennessee said.

Hawkins County Police said that they have arrested 22-year-old Derrick Dalton Goins, after being accused of punching the officer while walking naked on a bridge.

Police received a call after Goins was spotted walking naked on the bridge near Rogersville around 3:30 a.m. on Thursday. Police officers who arrived at the scene, saw Goins and tried to talk to him, but he only said his name repeatedly.

Goins then reached out and tried to shake an officer’s hand. When the officer refused, Goins punched him. Goins was charged with assault on an officer, resisting arrest and indecent exposure.

Police said that they found Goins’ vehicle in a ditch and running on Old State Highway 70.
