A teenager beat his girlfriend’s son to death for cursing during a video game.

Thomas Albea of Chicago, Illinois, was 18 years old when he was arrested in connection with the death of his girlfriend’s son X’Zavion Charleston.

Albea, who is now 22 years old, was convicted of beating the boy to death for uttering a swear word while playing Mortal Kombat.

Albea was sentenced to 33 years in prison. Judge Mark Levitt said that he had “rarely seen such violence that was exhibited by Mr. Albea.”

Levitt ordered him to serve the full 33 years in jail with no chance of a reduced sentence.

The victim’s family is angry as they were demanding life in prison for the suspect. However, Judge Levitt of the Lake County Circuit Court, said that he considered the defendant’s age at the time of the incident and capability to rehabilitate.

During the trial, the prosecutor presented a video recording on which Albea confessed, saying that he hit the boy 4 or 5 times.

A coroner has concluded that it is likely that the child suffered no fewer than seven blows.

Prosecutors said that little X’Zavion was playing the violent fighting video game Mortal Kombat while waiting for his dinner to be ready when he used an expletive.

The teenager beat the boy. He was rushed to a hospital, where he died the next day.
