(Scroll down for video) A group of teens were arrested on charges of destruction of property after allegedly dumping thousands of bugs in their school, police in Maryland said.
The St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office said that seven teens forced their way into the Chopticon High School in Morganza on Wednesday.
The suspects, who were wearing masks and sweatshirts, released about 72,000 ladybugs throughout the school. Four adults and three children were identified as the suspects.
One of the suspects ordered the ladybugs on Internet. The four children were charged with theft, destruction of property and disruption of school activities.
They were released to the custody of their parents. The three adults were charged and booked into jail. The students told investigators that they did it because they thought the prank was funny.
